Usually, the disposable masks we buy in pharmacies are general medical surgical masks. They have front and back sides, with the darker side-the blue side facing out, and the lighter side facing inward, close to our face. Not only that, but the mask is also divided into upper and lower parts. The side with a metal strip inside that is hard to touch is the upper end, which is close to the bridge of the nose when worn. After understanding the basic structure of a mask, let's learn how to wear a mask correctly.
1. Washing: First of all, wash your hands to prevent dirty hands from contaminating the inner surface of the mask;
2. Hanging: Place the mask horizontally on the face, mouth and nose, and hang the ropes at both ends on the ears with both hands;
3. Pull: As shown in the figure below, both hands pull the folds of the mask up and down at the same time, so that the mask can completely cover the mouth, nose and chin;
4. Pressing: Finally, press the metal strips on both sides of the bridge of the nose with the index fingers of both hands to make the upper end of the mask close to the bridge of the nose.
In addition, we need to remind everyone: After wearing a mask, avoid touching the mask frequently to prevent reducing its protective effect; after taking off the mask, put it in tape or a paper bag, and then put it in a covered trash can for disposal. Wash your hands promptly; do not reuse disposable masks.
